Update 12.64

RECENT NEWS:

Update 12.64

Greetings, Taernians!

This update focuses on the early stages of the game. We’re introducing a brand-new level 8 boss, along with a tutorial covering instances and rare gear. We’re also permanently introducing a system of exploration-related quests - for now, it will only be available in the Trentis area, but over time we want to expand it to higher-level areas as well. On top of that, we’re adding a handful of changes and fixes, mainly related to guilds. Check out the full list of changes below.

New Boss:

  • Introduced Taunty - a goblin boss designed for solo players. The entrance to the instance is located in the Hamlet near Trentis, and there are no other requirements. The recommended level for the boss is 8.
  • New gear drops from Taunty - Magey Backfur (a cape for mages), Wacky Backfur (a cape for physical classes), Shammy Grabguards (gloves for mages), Killy Grabguards (gloves for physical classes).
  • Introduced the side quest “Stop the Rumbling” related to the Taunty instance. The quest will activate automatically once a player reaches level 8. Characters who have already surpassed this level when the update goes live will also receive it.
  • Changed the purpose of the Mushrooms, Colorful Stones, and Crops items - they will drop from the Taunty instance and can be exchanged for gold or experience. As a result, they will be removed from older servers where they were still present despite having no use.
  • Introduced a tutorial covering instances and the basic mechanics of rare gear. It will activate during the “Stop the Rumbling” quest.

Path of Exploration:

  • Introduced a new type of quest closely tied to activities to discover on the World Map and exploration rewards - the “Path of Exploration”. For now, both the rewards and quests will only be available in the Trentis area. Regardless of their level, players will receive quests directing them toward activities they have not yet discovered. They will also be able to claim rewards for previously discovered elements of the world that were already on the Exploration list before the update. If they have not yet surpassed level 25, some quests will continue to be randomly assigned to them until they do.
  • Added new Exploration categories in the Trentis area: regular enemies, gathering spots, important areas, important NPCs, trade and exchange, and hidden treasures.
  • Updated the Exploration UI on the World Map.

Other Changes and New Features:

  • Added an option to lock gear (using the Ctrl+right-click shortcut on gear on PC or by selecting the padlock icon in the gear description on mobile) - locked gear cannot be discarded, sold, or destroyed in any way. It can be unlocked using the same methods.
  • Added visibility of equipped gear when using shop windows. This means you will be able to, for example, recharge or upgrade gear without unequipping it first, although you still won’t be able to sell or destroy it.
  • Swapped the positions of Fire Arrow and Ice Arrow in the Archer’s skill set. As a result, tactics and presets will be reset for characters below the level at which they can maintain their current setup. Archers who are level 20 or above and have been active within the last 3 months will receive a Skills Reset Token.
  • Adjustments to the resistances of some enemies found in the Trentis and Southern Alaril areas - this mainly concerns cold resistance among most low-level enemies, to achieve better Archer balance in this level range.
  • Lowered the difficulty of the roaming Librarian. The previous version of the Librarian will remain in the Trials of the Lodge but with the Path of Challenge marker.
  • Replaced Grizzly with groups made up of nearby mobs in the Forlorn Settlement.
  • Significantly increased the speed of the upgrade timer when performing many upgrades in succession.
  • Added new quests related to making friends and joining guilds. They will appear automatically upon reaching levels 18 and 25 (or a later level, but no higher than 50). They will not appear if the level requirements are not met or if the player is already sufficiently familiar with the friends and guild systems.
  • Added a separate icon above NPCs who offer services other than simply selling items in their shops, and changing their collective name to Craftsman.
  • Changed the aspect of goblins to Velhar and druids to Farao.
  • Increased and sped up the respawn of Ignifexes in Hvar’s Wastelands.
  • Added psychoexperience rewards to quests intended for levels below 15.
  • Added links to the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy in the settings and on the login screen.
  • Changed the UI of the Temple and Teleportation Tower charging window on PC to move the cooldown reset button to a location that is harder to click accidentally.
  • Allowed columns in the Members and Contributions tabs in guilds to be sorted in both ascending and descending order.
  • Added the ability for ranks below Strategist to preview guild construction mode on PC.
  • Disabling the “Ignifex Control” task in Daily Challenges. (This change was deployed on October 2.)
  • Other minor UI, text, and message fixes.

Bug Fixes:

  • Fixed an incorrect exit icon in the Deposit outside the guild.
  • Fixed a bug causing tips on the loading screen in the mobile version to always appear in the same order instead of randomly.
  • Fixed a bug where disabling the “send notifications” option in the Buildings tab did not affect notifications in the sidebar.
  • Fixed a bug preventing a given building from being charged through the guild tab UI when the character was in another building.
  • Fixed a bug causing a false message that the Stronghold level was too low to sometimes appear in guild construction mode, preventing construction.
  • Fixed a bug causing player management options to be visible in the Members window of another guild.
  • Fixed a bug causing the remote charging window not to display the platinum fee.
  • Fixed a bug causing the Usage tab in guilds not to account for consumed food if the player did not have any contributions set.
  • Fixed a bug preventing players who had completed the “Stone Soul” quest from entering the rooms in Khemenak, even though they should have been able to. (This fix was deployed on October 2.)
  • Fixed a bug causing Lesgar to sell 20 Emperors instead of 25 when using the platinum option. (This fix was deployed on October 2.)
  • Other minor bug fixes and optimizations.
