Hello, Taernians!
There’s only a couple of days left until we can celebrate the second birthday of Broken Ranks! Throughout the year, we’ve been working hard to bring you as many new features as possible. We are very happy with what we’ve achieved and still have many ideas for future changes.
Most importantly, the gear overhaul is now finished - in the end, you can enjoy a completely new approach to gearing. We also added a new, end-game instance featuring Sidraga which took the players more than six months to beat. However, you’ll soon be able to admire the ripest fruit of this year’s labor in the form of the Shadow of Hope update, the next part of the main storyline, and a new area - Thalia. Thank you for your engagement and support! It’s thanks to your suggestions and feedback that Broken Ranks is becoming better with every update.
Premium for everyone!
Let’s start with the announcement that every active player (meaning a player who has logged in during the last 30 days) will receive 7 days of free premium account. If you already have premium account, it’ll be extended by 7 days. Those who haven’t logged in during the last 30 days will get a link to activate their bonus in the next mailing. Additional premium account time will be added on the 25th of January. Those who are just starting their adventure in Broken Ranks can also get the bonus by registering using the following code: SOH (25.01 1 PM CET - 29.02 12 PM CET).
Khold Birthday
The very name suggests what kind of entertainment you can expect. As mugs get empty, full, and empty again, the real show begins. You know what our friends from Khemenak like best - a good smacking on the head. Go to the nearest Barker (the NPCs can be found in all major hubs - Trentis, Alaril, Khemenak, the Garrison, and Beirn) to get more information. You’ll receive tokens (chips) needed to take part in the celebration. The Barkers will take you to the Dive where Gzergr will take over and let you know what the rules are.
*Remember that Khold Birthday is a quest, so it’ll be added to the quest tab of your character (don’t forget to look there).

Birthday skin
For those who like to change their look, we have something special. On the day of the birthday of Broken Ranks, we’ll release a special skin that will allow you to celebrate this occasion even more! How does it look? Here it is: 
You’ll be able to get it from the premium shop. Don’t forget to do this - it’ll disappear on February 29th!
Additional activities
That’s not all, because:
- Between January 25th and February 1st (at 2 PM CET) the wares at every shop will be reloaded.
- On January 25th at 8 PM CET, we’ll reset the cooldowns for all difficulties of Selena and Aqua Regis as well as the price of the Time Crystal, Ring of Transportation, Crampons, and Reinforced Crampons.
- On January 26th at 12 PM CET, we’ll increase the spawn rate of platinum chests. The increased spawn rate will last until January 29th at 12 PM CET.
- On January 27th and 28th at between 7 PM and 9 PM CET, we’ll organize Happy Hours - the amount of experience and psychoexperience gained will be increased.
