Hello, Taernians!
Not long ago we were celebrating the second birthday of Broken Ranks by giving you “Shadow of Hope” as the celebration gift. It was a large content update that introduced, among others, new areas and the long-awaited continuation of the main storyline. Now it’s time to move forward and implement more plans. Thank you for your support so far!
Community Update
We are very happy that you’re so involved with the game and there’s no shortage of suggestions on our Discord. Of course, it’d be impossible to implement all of them but we try to let you know when one of them gets added into the game. However, we know that there’s even more potential here…
We are tirelessly working on getting even more open to any feedback and better at using it. During one of our brainstorming sessions, the idea of “community updates” was born. They would comprise changes (including those suggested by you) that, although minor, provide quality-of-life improvements. Of course, this doesn’t mean that small features and your suggestions will only be implemented during these updates, they’ll simply be more focused on them.
The first Community Update will be implemented very soon, on March 5th. The full list of changes, as always, will be published on our website, in the changelog section.
Plans for 2024
Some of you might be wondering what we are planning and in what direction Broken Ranks is headed. Below is an infographic that should satiate your curiosity and give you a list of features we intend to focus on.
It’s worth noting here that this is just an update plan, so it’s mostly meant to show you the direction. Importantly, this is not a promise of implementing exactly what the infographic says. We believe that we’ll be able to add all the elements from it, but we also want to leave ourselves some wiggle room. Why? For example, we’re constantly growing as developers, so it’s possible we may come up with new, interesting ideas and solutions that we’d like to implement sooner. It’s also possible that, after analyzing the data and feedback, we’ll decide that adding a completely different feature would benefit the world of Broken Ranks more. It’s very important for us to stay flexible and react as needed ;)
In any case, we want you to know what we’re doing, so we’ll keep informing you about updates, plans, ideas, and upcoming changes.
