Community Update 8.52

Greetings, Taernians!

Yet another patch in the Community Update series is coming. The series focuses on implementing your suggestions about new features, improvements to existing mechanisms, and QoL in general. This time the theme will be making trading via the marketplace more convenient, but there are also many other minor changes. A couple of balance updates are in there, too. Read on!

Marketplace:

  • Added offers to buy for items and artifacts.
  • Added sales history for items and artifacts accessed via the listing window.
  • Added the possibility to remove only some items from an existing offer.
  • Added the possibility to create a link to a piece of gear or artifact listed on the marketplace - press CTRL+LMB on the image in the active offers window.
  • Added columns with durability and ornaments in the gear offers tab.
  • Improvements to gear filters: added durability filter, added clear for all filters or a chosen section, added filter enabling/disabling in the active offers window.
  • Current deposit capacity will now be shown in the main marketplace window. When buying multiple items, the space taken by them will also be shown.
  • Restricted purchases to amounts that fit in the deposit or can be afforded by the player (until now after attempting to do this, players would get a notification and would have to try again).
  • Added the possibility to add items and artifacts to favorites from search.
  • Added the possibility to extend Premium Marketplace in the marketplace window.
  • Increased the maximum offer value to 5kkk.
  • Added maximum fee with Premium Marketplace - 500k for listing and 1.5kk for selling for each piece of gear, item, or artifact.
  • Added automatic return of fee if an offer is cancelled within 15 minutes (up to 3 times per day).
  • The last opened tab in the marketplace will now be remembered until game restart.
  • Filters for size and type of artifacts, and physical/magical/equippable gear will now be permanently remembered.
  • Added sorting by gold, platinum, or both by clicking the appropriate column.
  • Added automatic platinum-to-gold conversion ratio based on real transactions on the marketplace on a given server. This value will be used when sorting offers in both currencies, and also in shops when buying normal gear and repairing.
  • Diacritics, apostrophes, and hyphens can now be omitted while searching.
  • Marketplace object highlight will now work independently from scrolling - a clicked item will remain clicked until it’s unclicked, another item is clicked, or the tab is changed.
  • Separated items and artifacts in the counter of listed objects visible in the deposit window.
  • Fixed bugs related to searching for morphed gear using the “skin” keyword.

Other changes suggested by players:

  • Fixes related to joining another party with multiple people:
    • the party will no longer be separated if the leader tries to join another party that can’t be joined at the moment (due to combat or party lock)
    • the leader will always join first (until now the sequence was reversed and they would join last)
    • the leader will get a notification if they want to join and the whole party can’t join (due to lack of slots or party lock)
    • if several players with pets want to join a party, the players will join first and pets only after all players have joined.
  • Added the possibility to join a resting player or party.
  • Changed the way readiness in combat is displayed - instead of the fist icon, there’ll be a visual effect at the feet of the player.
  • Added gear and drif tooltips in the loot window - hover over the names to see them.
  • Showing status information in combat (Shift by default) will now be remembered between fights.
  • Orbs can be merged no matter their type (e.g. universal with defensive).
  • Settings can now be accessed in combat but some options will be unavailable.
  • Drif and orb effects can now be linked by clicking LMB on the appropriate icon in the equipment window.
  • Added + and - in windows where players need to choose amounts to make the choice easier using only the mouse.
  • Added space as the separator for big numbers in various notifications and UI windows to make them more clear.
  • Moved the check files icon away from the PLAY button in the launcher.
  • Mobs now won’t be able to attack players if there’s an impassable space between them (e.g. walls in the Ivravul instance).
  • Orb types that can be inserted will now be shown when mousing over free orb slots in gear.
  • Increased the size of Beirn so that the right side of the UI doesn’t interfere with the playable part of the map.
  • Changed the way Ring of Transportation cooldown is reset - buying the Ring the next day after buying it for the lowest price will no longer override the cooldown (e.g. if the first Ring is bought on Monday, players will always be able to buy it at the lowest price on Wednesday no matter if they bought it again on Tuesday or not).
  • Removed cooldowns in the tasks Copper Business and Trapper's Task: Baby Giant. The temporary lock invisible in the UI will remain unchanged.
  • Added a popup in the Eye Grotto if the player defeats the Sight Guardians but fails to take the Eye.
  • Changed the icon of Food to better differentiate it from Yak Meet.
  • Dialogue improvements: moved options that take players to shops to the top spot, sorted all Guide options by the level of the area, Ortag’s dialogue at Morana - added the option to take the dynamite in the first dialogue, improvements to Verstein’s dialogues aiming to make it easier to buy Crampons and Reinforced Crampons, Hengis - added the option to open the portal to Admiral in the first dialogue, other minor improvements.
  • Removed Alignment from the character attributes window.
  • Changed the way the icon denoting new items in the Premium Store works - it’ll be shown only until it’s clicked, not after every client restart.
  • Added a dedicated, better visible chest with Claudius's Grand Rune in the Elemental Specters instance.
  • Ghadira will now be aggressive on every Path.
  • Changes to Selena when she’s defeated - in the round following her death, the wisps with immunities will dispel themselves (other effects will also be removed).
  • Changed the way the inferna on the Mountainside works: opening the passage will still require 12 fuel but the counter will drop by 1 every minute. The passage will close when the counter reaches 0 (the fuel counter will also show the time remaining until the passage is closed). Players will be able to add fuel to the inferna to extend the time the passage is open.
  • Changed the level at which groups of two tigers in the Orc Forest stop being aggressive to 50.
  • Changed the lempo event so that more players can participate and win prizes:
    • stage 1 and 3 - to complete the stage, players will have to defeat 40 and 30 mobs respectively but the stages will last longer and will end only when the time is up (same as in the last stage of the Bridge Defense event in the Hvar’s Wastelands)
    • stage 2 - increased the number of items needed to build cages, added another region over the Under the Ice caves where additional mobs spawn
    • overall increase in the number of event mobs - they’ll also keep spawning during each stage
    • added a maximum number of points that can be gained in each stage
    • added a notification to surrounding areas about the upcoming event
    • items from the second stage will now be automatically deleted when it’s complete
    • changes to rewards from mobs and stages to match the rewards from before the changes to the event
    • other visual and mechanical fixes
  • Changes related to the availability of some items required to craft flasks:
    • increased the number of orc shamans in the Orc Forest while decreasing the number of single orcs
    • added an extra group of Imperials in the Swamp and significantly increased their respawn rate
    • changed the location of wolves - removed white and black ones from the Wolf Den and replaced them with gray wolves, removed gray wolves from the Khold Forest and replaced them with white and black ones, slightly increased the spawn rate in regions where wolves can be found in the Khold Forest
    • changed the location of kholds: moved khold vardrs from the Aragonite Cavern to the Khold Forest, increased the number, respawn rate and decreased the aggressiveness of khold priests in the Aragonite Cavern, replaced the groups of two kholds with a group of one khold and one khold priest in the Bear Cave
    • added Burning Moonshine to the loot table of khold vardrs
    • changed the Khold Rebellion event: after the event is over, the respawn of the kholds will no longer be blocked for the cooldown - instead, during the cooldown, killing mobs will not increase the counter for starting the event, added Burning Moonshine and Sphere of Power to the mobs in the first stage
    • added Shaman Head to the loot table of Rizurul and Burning Moonshine to the loot table of khold Charles

Miscellaneous:

  • New avatar elements in the avatar edition window: two types of kerchiefs and an armor (both female and male versions).
  • Changes and improvements to the game engine meant to optimize gameplay (decreased map and combat loading times, better memory management, less frequent FPS drops).
  • Changed instances Under the Ice on the Path of Discovery to adjust experience gains versus the instances on the Path of Adventure: added two additional mob groups to every instance, decreased experience gains from mobs while keeping the overall experience gains the same.
  • Increased psychoexperience gains from Under the Ice instances on the Path of Adventure.
  • Changed the way decreased droprate in instances works - it will now take into account the highest level character who entered the instance instead of those that participated in combat.
  • Changed the Tower instance on the Path of Challenge: decreased the statistics of Ghadira and Gregorius, increased experience and gold gains, and the droprate of tracks and drifs.
  • Changed the Ichtion instance on the Path of Challenge: increased experience and gold gains, and the droprate of tracks and synergetics.
  • New location in Thalia - Varnik’s Office accessible from the Remnant Hideout. Varnik has been moved to the new location and some dialogues and NPC placements have been changed.
  • Added a memorial plaque to the Dive to commemorate those who defeated the hardest stages in the previous editions of the Khold Birthday event and added bar gossip in the Rockburst about them.

Bugfixes:

  • Fixed combat freezing if a player lost connection in the last round of combat - in this situation, a client restart was needed. Now the server will wait 30 seconds for the player to reconnect and then the combat will be finished.
  • Fixed bugs when fighting Lavia, Ascended Drifter, and Hvar occurring when they are defeated with Unleash Rage (combat freezing, no transformation).
  • Fixed a bug occurring when lifesteal was activated on Unleash Rage - the number of HP would be incorrectly displayed, which caused various issues when the character died or was about to die (example bugs: players seeing their death from Energy Jolt, players about to die from DoTs suddenly gaining health, players seeing somebody in their party die and then rise up and attack, players seeing their own death but when they return, the mob is not there as it was killed by the player’s attacks).
  • Fixed a bug causing trade chat cooldown to be applied again once it has passed.
  • Fixed a bug causing land tax to be paid twice if a server was restarted around midnight.
  • Other minor bugs concerning graphics, animations, mechanics, and quests.
