Greetings, Taernians!
The Valentine’s Day event is coming soon, so we’re adding everything needed for it. If you haven't had the chance to participate in the event yet, check out this article to learn what awaits you and when it starts!
However, this update is not just about the event: we are implementing a lot of changes and fixes related mostly to the Trials of the Lodge. Thank you for your feedback! It allowed us to implement many changes. You can find out more about them here. In today’s changelog, we’ll give you more details. Read on!
Valentine’s Day Party:
- New skins to celebrate Valentine’s Day: the helmet Infatuation (can be purchased from the Premium Store) and the cape Elation (reward for the quest Valentine’s Day Party).
- Minor mechanical fixes to the event.
Trials of the Lodge - changes and fixes:
- Added the ability to choose the difficulty level - players will now be able to take part in Trials for their bracket and also lower brackets. The entry limit remains the same, and it’ll be shared between all difficulty levels.
- Decreased the Trial entry cost. Starting from the lowest difficulty, the costs will be as follows: 25,000, 100,000, 400,000, 1,000,000, 2,500,000.
- Balanced Trials rewards:
- lowered the droprate of rare and set gear
- increased the droprate of synergetics and drifs
- added guaranteed rewards for completing harder arenas in the Trial of the Masters: in individual Trials, players will get a Ring of Transportation from arenas 10, 11, and 12, and Ropes with a Hook from arenas 13, 14, 15, and 16; in party Trials, every player will receive Time Slivers from arenas 10, 11, and 12, and Reinforced Crampons from arenas 13, 14, 15, and 16
- changed the number of aithars and the way they are obtained - the farther you progress, the more aithars can be obtained for finishing the arena. The exact quantities can be seen in the table below.
-
Balanced experience and psychoexperience gains according to the table below.
-
Implemented the reduction of Trial rewards depending on the player level (up to level 139) or Might (at level 140). The following will be reduced: experience, psychoexperience, droprate of items and gear from enemies, aithars for completing arenas. The reduction depends on the strongest player in the party. You can find more details in the table below:
- Balanced the effects obtained on the Trial arenas:
- changed the strength and the way effects alter player and enemy resistances - they will now add or subtract points instead of percentages
- increased the values in the effect that takes away Action Points
- decreased the values in the following effects: reduction psychoeffects debilitation, defensive orbs debilitation, enemy stats increase, enemy HP increase, and enemy critical hit chance increase
- increased the chance of getting one of the hardest debuffs in the last arena
- increased the chance of getting higher level buffs
- Added aspects to common enemies in the game - infusions will work on them, but mastery points can only be gained from bosses, champions, and elites.
- Changed the aspects for the following enemies: Volkhv, Cunning Rogue.
- Limited stun and freeze duration to a maximum of 2 rounds - applies only to solo Trials.
- Damage reflected by shields of empowered enemies - above 100% empowerment, additional stats gained from empowerment will no longer increase the strength of this ability.
- Adjusted Face of Death mechanics to prevent players from being killed in a single round: a player cannot be killed by Face of Death if, at the start of the round, they are afflicted by none of the required debuffs (in such cases, the enemy will instead use Energy Jolt, following the same hit rules as Face of Death). If the player is afflicted by at least one of the required debuffs at the start of the round, the enemy may use Face of Death normally.
- Limited Face of Death in solo Trials - enemies may use only one Face of Death per round, even if their tactic normally allows more.
- Enemy AI can no longer use abilities that force players to escape.
- Removed the possibility of rolling: Black Wisp with high resistances, elites from the Admiral instance on difficulties other than the first, Bust, and Amorpha.
- Increased the Might of Phantom Harluks in the Trials of the Lodge.
- Increased enemy team composition variety, especially in the Trial of the Masters.
- Removed weekly ranking eligibility for players participating in Trials outside their dedicated level bracket.
- Added visibility of remaining entries (solo and party) in the Trial entry window, regardless of party size.
- Expanded effect descriptions in the Trials of the Lodge and detailed descriptions of each infusion type in the infusion window (on hover).
- Various interface changes resulting from the above adjustments.
Miscellaneous changes:
- Introduced a Maximum Power tracking system: a player’s maximum Might will be updated continuously throughout the week, but only upwards. Once per week, an additional update may slightly reduce Might in case of minor equipment changes (e.g. drift or enhancement swaps). Might will not be drastically reduced, even if a player sells their equipment. This system is used by the reward reduction mechanic in the Trials of the Lodge. Maximum Might is now visible in the Might ranking.
- Excluded all temporary buffs (e.g. guild buffs) from Might calculations.
- Adjusted Selena’s AI - reduced the level of Energy Jolt in some tactics.
- Adjusted physical resistances of the Dark Wisp found in Dungeons in Beirn to improve balance between classes.
- Added new avatars for different versions of Draugul and Ivravul.
- Improved the visibility of particle effects on anniversary weapon skins.
- Increased the number of Laboratory Keys required to enter the Fyodor and GMO instance: 2 keys on the Path of Discovery and 5 on the Path of Adventure and Challenge. All sources of Keys (e.g. tasks, loot from elites) will give 5 times the previous number. Existing keys have been multiplied by 5 and the keys listed on the marketplace have been returned to deposits along with tax refunds.
- Changed Path of Discover Fyodor and GMO: decreased the stats of both bosses, removed the Horned One from GMO’s entourage, changed the first enemy party from 4 Horned Ones to 2 Horned Ones and 2 Hobgoblin Mages.
- Changed Path of Challenged Fyodor and GMO: easier enemies (stat, resistance, and party composition adjustments), increased gold and psychoexperience gains from enemies, increased the droprate of synergetics and tracks from the bosses.
Bugfixes:
- Fixed an issue where double immunity in a single round caused enemies to remain unattackable even after immunity expired.
- Fixed an issue where Rage points would cap at 900 after relogging despite having the Rage Empowerment effect.
- Fixed a bug causing combat to freeze when the Reflection infusion triggered on area-of-effect attacks.
- Fixed a launcher crash occurring during update downloads.
- Fixed issues affecting ranking search functionality.
- Fixed incorrect marketplace display of recently changed drif modifiers and corrected modifier values for synergetics looted before the changes.
- Other minor graphical, mechanical, and text fixes.
