A new zone - Northern Alaril:
The new content was created with players level 90+ in mind. You can try it out earlier, of course, but it may prove a bit too hard. ;)
The main attraction is the boss instance. Hvar, the boss of it, drops four new rare pieces of gear. What’s important, this instance can only be done solo. In addition to that, you’ll be able to complete a quest related to it that will grant you a unique, temporary power… but let’s not spoil too much, see for yourselves. ;) Moreover, there are also other activities - new opponents, tasks, a daily quest, and a dynamic event. When searching for these attractions, be sure to use the world map - Northern Alaril has been marked on it as a separate zone. You can discover the new content on your own or use the list below.
- New zone, Northern Alaril, containing several areas and NPCs (main areas: Hvar’s Wastelands, Volcano). It is accessible via the entrance on the left side of the Dmorther Garrison.
- Boss instance with two difficulty levels (adventure, challenge) together with the following opponents: Hvar (boss), Torched Zealot (elite), Torched Soul, Ember, Lavia, Lava Golem, Pyromorph, Scorched Drifter, Ascended Drifter. The instance is a solo one. It cannot be entered by characters below level 80 (suggested level 90+). The entry item for the boss can be bought from Zenlin in Hvar’s Wastelands in exchange for 5 Ice Power Cores and 50,000 gold. All Cores will be automatically removed from the market during the update and the tax will be refunded. Zenlin will also offer a starting package to every player level 90 or above. The package will contain 50 Ice Power Cores in exchange for 50,000 gold (once per account). The offer expires with the next update.
- New rare pieces of gear for levels 90-95 obtainable from Hvar: World Shatterer (two-handed axe), Hvarions (physical gloves), Scornaxes (magical vambraces), Furions (physical vambraces).
- Shadow of the Flame boss sidequest. It can be taken from Zenlin by characters level 90 or above.
- Hvarite Ore daily quest. It can be taken from Irsan by characters level 90 or above.
- Three tasks: Ashmares (from Drenzo, req. lvl. 90), Safe Bridge (from Ygris, req. lvl. 90), Ignifex Culling (from Zenlin, req. lvl. 90).
- Bridge Defense dynamic event - activates every 5h in Hvar’s Wastelands.
- Normal mobs in Hvar’s Wastelands: Ashmare, Scoria, Ignifex, Obsidian Ignifex.
- Champions in Hvar’s Wastelands: Gravemare, Nixbloom. You’ll be able to obtain sets level 100 from them.
- Achievements for all the mobs in Northern Alaril.
Miscellaneous:
- Lowered the difficulty of the Frozen Lake - now it’ll be meant for characters level 70+. Adjusted the strength and rewards from all the mobs, lowered their aggressiveness, changed respawn rates. Adjusted the Lempo dynamic event - changes to both the strength of the mobs and rewards (from the mobs and stages). Nearby instances have not been changed.
- Increased the respawn rate of mob groups with Icicles, Colds, and Zeroes on the Plateau, added and/or increased the droprate of Ice Power Cores from mobs on the Plateau and in the Dragon Trial.
- Changed weekly challenges to take into account the new zone and the lower difficulty of the Frozen Lake.
- Changed the mob-killing PvP challenge for levels 90-109 - mobs will now include new opponents.
- Changed the drop of level 100 sets - each part will be obtainable from every champion (this change was introduced as a part of patch 7.46).
- Changed the way Thalia is displayed on the world map - it’ll be a separate map that you can switch to by clicking the crest in the lower right corner.
- Added descriptions of the stages of dynamic events to their UI visible for their duration (until now this information was available only on the world map, now it’s accessible when mousing over the question mark).
- Fixed a bug causing Fire and Ice Arrow not to count towards the “debuff an opponent with any skill” challenge.
- Fixed a bug causing a disconnect when searching the ranking.
- Improved the performance of the marketplace and rankings.
- Other bugfixes and performance improvements.
