Greetings, Taernians!
Before you is yet another patch in the Community Update series, but this time combined with the long-awaited class balance. Its main elements are the changes to Knight, but the other classes have also been adjusted in some way. There’s also a new attribute - Intelligence, affecting the difficulty and effectiveness of buffs, which should give a stir to your builds and let you create new ones.
Moreover, we have prepared a number of new features and changes such as: character resets are now more affordable thanks to their lower price and presets that will let you quickly change your build to one saved beforehand, you will no longer get repeated Challenges thanks to the new reroll system, you’ll get more rewards for Daily Quests, and some instances will get a second wind thanks to a bunch of adjustments. And it’s only a small portion of the changes awaiting you - if you want to learn more, read on!
Class balance:
In the skills tables, gray values mean that there was no change.
General:
- Added Intelligence - a new attribute responsible for casting buffs that may also increase their duration. All skills will now have a constant AP threshold to be cast at 100%. This requirement can be lowered by investing in Intelligence. In addition to that, high Intelligence will extend the duration of buffs and/or improve their parameters (more details are available by mousing over the middle description of the buff in the Skills window).
- Separating mob and player skills if significant changes were made to them (Calculated Strike, Sacrifice, Power of Unity, Front Kick, Dispersion Aura). The levels of other skills used by mobs have been adjusted.
- Decreased the per level scaling of elemental drifs (val, kalh, unn) from 0.5% to 0.35%.
Knight:
- Removed Battle Fervor from the skill pool.
- Added new skill: Shield Bash - it deals crushing damage and debuffs opponents with increased Mighty Blow damage.
- Sacrifice - replaced the boost to damage by a boost to strength and power (the number of attributes added depends on the level of the skill, strength of the Knight, and strength or power of the target), removed melee hit chance modifier, changed values and added percentage resistance penalty at master levels.
- Power of Unity - replaced the boost to damage and accuracy by a boost to dexterity and knowledge (the number of attributes added depends on the level of the skill, dexterity of the Knight, and dexterity or knowledge of the target).
- Calculated Strike - added effects that decrease mental damage and lower the opponent’s melee defense.
- Purity Aura - added percentage resistance increases at master levels, adjusted values.
- Mighty Blow - increased damage.
- Shield Block - the debuff that decreases the Knight’s chance to hit will now deactivate if the Knight is slightly wounded (slightly wounded = 40% of HP).
- Changed the sequence in which skills are unlocked.
- Added shield to the gear Knights receive in the prologue.
- Offensive orbs can now be inserted in shields.
- Added new and removed old Knight buffs and debuffs in class weekly challenges. The previous version of the challenges active when the patch goes live will be replaced with new ones.
- Added Shield Bash to the pool of skills excluded by Sidraga and chosen by Gorag on Morana.
- Due to the changes, the NPC Shieldbachelor will spawn in Beirn and offer compensation for vambraces for Knights level 110+. He will depart on January 9th, 2026 at 10 AM server time*. You will be able to choose any number of options, but each option can only be chosen once. To make the options active, players must have a maximum of one piece of the given gear (e.g. you can’t have two vambraces) in the backpack (not equipped) and the gear can’t be repaired after 5 PM server time on October 8th, 2025. Each option will automatically extract drifs and the orb from the gear. There will be four options:
- exchanging ornaments between Undurises/Takerons and Keel
- exchanging upgrades between Undurises/Takerons and Keel
- exchanging Undurises/Takerons for Keel while retaining ornaments, upgrades, and durability
- making Undurises/Takerons damaged
*After this time, you won’t be able to get any kind of compensation resulting from the changes introduced in this patch.
Sheed:
- Vicious Strike - removed the effect that lowered melee hit chance, added an effect that increases the damage of Chi Punch.
- Liver Punch - added an effect that increases the damage of any ranged attack.
- Front Kick - nerfed the effect that decreased the opponent’s melee defense, added an effect that decreases their melee hit chance.
- Added combo effects:
- Exposed - requires the debuffs from Front Kick (Guard Break) and Vicious Strike (Intense Pain). Causes the opponent to take extra damage from all Sheed melee attacks. The strength of the empowerment will be equal to the lower of the two levels of the abilities. Example: a player has Front Kick at Adept 7 (level 14) and Vicious Strike at Master 3 (level 17), and their attack deals 1000 damage. Once both debuffs are active, the attack deals damage equal to 1000 * (100%+MIN(14;17)/100) = 1000 * 114% = 1140.
- Vulnerability to Barrage - requires the debuffs from Front Kick (Guard Break) and Liver Punch (Cirrhosis). It increases the damage of any ranged attacks. The strength of the empowerment will be equal to the lower of the two levels of the abilities. For example: Sheed has Front Kick at Master 7 (level 21) and Liver Punch at Adept 7 (level 14), and Fire Mage’s Fireball deals 1000 damage. Once both debuffs are active, the attack deals damage equal to 1000 * (100%+ 4% + MIN(21;14)/100) = 1000 * 118% = 1180 (the extra 4% results from the debuff from Liver Punch).
- Chi Punch - decreased damage at adept and master.
- Breath Control - extended the duration by one round at the first two levels of the skill.
- Decreased the base damage of the legendary Washi from 175 to 165.
Fire Mage:
- Fireball - increased damage.
- Dispersion Aura - changed the damage reduction modifier (instead of sharing the effect with the drif alorn, it’ll now share the effect with the orbs Ba’ed, De’ed, and Ge’ed), varied the reduction for different zones, adjusted the values due to changes in the effect.
Barbarian:
- Thick Skin - added percentage increase of resistances at master levels, decreased physical resistances added, and increased elemental and mental resistances added.
Druid:
- Bash - increased damage and accuracy.
- Swarm and Roots - increased accuracy.
Voodoo:
- Pierce Doll - decreased damage and accuracy.
Due to the above changes, we will hand out tokens as follows:
- Attributes Reset Token - all classes, the character must be level 30+ and needs to have been active in the last 3 months.
- Skills Reset Token - Knights, Sheeds, Fire Mages, Voodoos, the character must be level 30+ (or 15+ for Knights) and needs to have been active in the last 3 months.

- Added the option to customize the placement of skills on the skill wheel in combat - you can do this in the tactics window.
- Added skill and attribute presets that allow you to change your build quickly - Premium Account gives you access to two configurations. Two more presets can be bought for each character separately. Any change of build will still require payment.

- Changed the Legend creation process - unified daimonite (replaced legendary daimonite with normal one), added the display of all gathering stages.

- Separation of instance entry items for Draugul and Tarul - they will be completely separate, including cooldown. The way Time Crystals can be bought will not change (except for price) while Time Slivers will work similarly to other instance entry items - you will be able to buy one (instead of 5) and the cost will increase with every subsequent purchase. In addition to that, Crampons will no longer be required to enter Tarul - the gold cost will be put directly into the price of the Time Sliver. The new costs of both entry items will be as follows:
- Time Crystal - 1st price: 50 Emperors and 5 Essences, 2nd price: 100 Emperors and 10 Essences, 3rd and each subsequent price: 200 Emperors, 20 Essences.
- Time Sliver - 1st price: 150k gold and 10 Essences, 2nd price: 300k gold, 10 Essences, and 25 Emperors, 3rd and each subsequent price: 1kk gold, 10 Essences, and 50 Emperors.
- Due to the separation of the entry items for Draugul and Tarul, the NPC Glanachain Assistant will spawn in Beirn to facilitate the following exchanges (he will depart on January 9th, 2026 at 10 AM server time):
- Time Crystal, 5 Crampons, and 100k gold for 5 Time Slivers (you can make as many exchanges as the number of Time Crystals you have in your backpack when the patch goes live).
- Inactive Time Sliver and Crampons for a Time Sliver (all Time Slivers from before the update will be replaced with Inactive Time Slivers).
- Added the instances of the Greater Hawk (Path of Adventure and Challenge) and Wendigo (all Paths). These instances will be accessible temporarily during new dynamic events in Beirn and on the Plateau. Entry items can be acquired during the event or by completing some daily quests. The randomly spawning Greater Hawk and Wendigo will continue to spawn, but their loot will be the same as in the instance on the Path of Adventure (e.g. they’ll be dropping tracks).
- Added Greater Hawk and Wendigo to the legend creation process (currently ongoing processes will remain unchanged).
- Changes to the Castle Specter instance on the Path of Discovery - increased experience from all mobs, decreased the number of mobs in some groups, decreased the level of some mob abilities, changed the gold entry cost to 60,000 gold, added the option to take a pet from Arcanegrin's Projection who can be found at the beginning of the instance and next to the boss, added a green area to the instance.
- Changes to the Castle Specter instance on the Path of Challenge - increased experience from all mobs, increased gold from the boss, increased the number of Tracks of Dread, decreased the HP of mobs, decreased the damage of mobs.
- Commander, Admiral, and Morana instances - removed the requirement of completing quests or buying entry to get to those instances and/or buy entry items. However, completing the quests related to these instances will allow you to get free Crampons every 3 days and a free Ring of Transportation every week. Players who didn’t complete the quest and bought permanent entry from the NPC before the update will be treated as if they have completed the quest.
