Broken Ranks new servers ahead of the Android global launch - FAQ

The global launch of Broken Ranks on Android is just around the corner, and with it comes the start of new servers. We’ve gathered the questions that have been coming up most often over the past few days - here are your answers.

How many servers are launching on day one, and when?

Two to start - one for the Americas (Cordis) and one for Europe (Renlis). If traffic grows after launch, we’ll add more servers gradually and dynamically rotate the first option on the list for each region.

What about the Omnar server?

Omnar will remain the official Asian server. We plan to open a new server in that region as part of Broken Ranks’ continued expansion - a Korean and Japanese release is also in our plans.

Where are the servers physically located?

The infrastructure sits in the US and France. For Omnar - Japan.

Will there be crossplay between PC and Android?

Yes, full crossplay. Progress carries over between versions - you can start on PC, switch to Android, and everything will be exactly where you left it. One account, one game.

What languages can I play on the new servers?

Any of the supported languages: English, Polish, French, German, Russian, Brazilian Portuguese, and - as of recently - Spanish. The new servers are fully international.

What about the Deposit, Premium accounts, and cosmetics from other servers?

The Deposit works on a per-server basis. Premium accounts from old servers won’t be active on the new ones. The new servers are meant to be a fresh start for everyone, regardless of how much time someone has put into Broken Ranks before - we don’t want resources accumulated over time on older servers (such as Platinum) to immediately translate into a real advantage. That said, all new European and American servers share one common Premium account - buy it once and it works across that entire group. The Asian server Omnar has its own separate Premium account.

Are there any other differences between the new and old servers?

At launch, we’ll be adding extra mob spawners in low-level areas to handle the increased traffic. Some options won’t be available right away - including the Arena Shop at Heine’s, since the currency used there is tied to the account rather than the server.

This year’s Forefathers’ Eve event also won’t be running on the new servers. Players who’ve taken part in previous editions know the event mechanics inside out - they know what to do, where to go, and how to squeeze every bit of value out of it. On a fresh server, that knowledge is a concrete advantage over someone just starting out. Future seasonal events will depend on the state of each server’s economy.

Are prices regional on the new Broken Ranks servers?

The price of our premium currency (Platinum) is the same worldwide. The only regional difference applies to the Premium account (for 30 days of Premium account):

Polish servers 300 Platinum
International servers (EU/US) 350 Platinum
Omnar server (Asia) 200 Platinum

How do I claim my pre-registration skin from Google Play?

If you clicked pre-register on Google Play, just log into your account - the hat will land in your backpack automatically. No extra steps needed.
