Forefathers’ Eve 2025 - the Broken Ranks Event is Just Around the Corner

Let the story of the Lyrist be heard all across the land…

The time of Forefathers’ Eve is nigh. It’s a celebration where the line between the world of the living and the dead becomes thin like a spiderweb.

INSTRUCTIONS

Duration

This year, the tormented souls will accompany you longer than the last time - you’ll have a week to help them. The event starts on October 31st (10:00 AM server time) and lasts until November 7th (10 AM server time).

During this time, you’ll be able to defeat a maximum of 1000 event mob groups (no matter their type). To check your progress, you need to type the following command on the chat: /checkEvent.

A day earlier, the Lyrist will spawn in various areas. He’s the harbinger and guardian of the ritual and will set the mood for the event. Just remember that the actual event starts on Friday at 10 AM server time!

Rewards and Activities

The rules are simple. Sharpen your weapons and refill mana because you will be facing off against countless undead. Unfortunately, there is nothing that can be done for them anymore. There are, however, souls that can yet be redeemed… with your help, of course.

Some foes possess items craved by the suffering souls that appear on the maps again and again. From Drowned Man, Arsonist, Thief and Taernian Deserter, you will learn what they need to finally find redemption. For redeeming souls on maps dedicated to your level range, you will be awarded event points. In exchange for them, you’ll get additional rewards - gold, experience and psychoexperience. You can get the extra rewards a maximum of 20 times.

*During the event, NPCs cannot be given items outside of the right level range. Please pay attention to the item descriptions.

Items and NPCs accepting them:

  • Drowned Man – an Oar,
  • Arsonist – a Bucket of Water,
  • Thief – a Coin,
  • Taernian Deserter – a Taernian Sword.

A variety of rewards will be granted for returning the items – boss entries, utility items, and various currencies. Additionally, you’ll earn a lot of experience for defeating the enemies.

For levels 140, a special experience-to-psychoexperience converter will be enabled (applies to both level 140 ranges).

Locations and level ranges:

  • Fishermen Village – levels 1-19
  • Trentis Hamlet - levels 20-39
  • Bandit Forest, Swamp - levels 40-65
  • Alaril, de Vries Estate, Crossroads - levels 66-89
  • Khold Forest, University District - levels 90-109
  • Orc Forest, Khold Mountains, Dmorther Ravine, Plateau - levels 110-139
  • Hvar’s Wastelands, Dmorther Garrison - level 140 (easier mobs).
  • Frozen Lake, Beirn, Mountainside – level 140 (harder mobs).

Once an event stage is complete, a couple of stronger mob groups with extra rewards will spawn on those maps.

Furthermore, two event achievements will be available:

  • for the number of event enemies defeated,
  • for the number of items returned to NPCs.

Once the event is over, the Lyrist will show up in Trentis, Khemenak, and Beirn. You’ll be able to give him all the items you didn’t give to the souls (no matter the level range) - the rewards will be the same. The NPC will leave after 48h.

We hope that many suffering souls will be helped and sent to the afterlife. We wish everyone a lot of fun, a great dose of experience, and deposits brimming with useful items.

Guide of Souls - new and returning skins!

The Lyrist doesn’t arrive alone - he’ll be accompanied by new event skins. They’ll complement the set from the previous year, so it’ll be a great opportunity to get all of them and immerse yourselves fully in the atmosphere of the rituals.

Forefathers' Eve 2025 Skin

New pieces this year:

  • Echoes of Memories (legguards)
  • Ancestors' Footsteps (boots).

The store will also have pieces from the previous year:

  • Eternity (helmet),
  • Aegis of Ages (body armor),
  • Lament (cape).

All the event skins will be available in the Premium Store from October 31st (10 AM server time) to November 12th (10 AM server time).

Changes versus the previous edition

  • Equalized the rewards given after every event round - no matter the number of items handed in, players will always get the same reward provided that they have handed in enough of the items (3 for levels 1-65, 5 for levels 65+). No reward for the stage will be given if a player hands in fewer items.
  • Limited the number of successful event round a player can complete - after each round, players will be given an item that will also act as a counter of completed event rounds. When they get 20, they won’t be able to banish souls (surplus items can still be handed in to the Lyrist after the event).
  • Split the level 140 range into two - they’ll differ in the difficulty of mobs and the rewards for handing in items. However, rewards given after each round will be the same and the points will be added to the same pool, no matter what item is handed in and in which area for this level.
  • Adjusted experience and psychoexperience gains from mobs.
  • Adjusted rewards for completing an event stage.
