Hello, Taernians!
This update focuses almost entirely on one topic: guilds. We’re significantly refreshing many old features to make them more convenient, more intuitive, and provide more room for future development. You’ll receive many improvements and features that you’ve often requested through various channels—including changes to ranks, automated contribution calculations, changes to tasks, and the long-awaited recruitment system. Of course, the most important function of a guild is bringing people together to play, but these and other changes should significantly improve how you use guild gameplay features, manage your guild, and find one. We invite you to check out the full list of changes.
Guild-Related Changes:
- Added recruitment accessible by clicking the guild icon in the main UI (PC version) or selecting the “Guild” tab (mobile version). Recruitment works both ways—it allows players to post that they are looking for a guild and guilds to post that they are looking for new members. Actions can be performed while players are offline—applications and invitations are sent to the appropriate tabs.
- Added the ability to block guild invitations—the option is available in the guild applications tab in Recruitment.
- Moved the option to create a new guild from the NPC to the UI window—it will be available in the same place as Recruitment if the player does not belong to any guild.
- Changed how the 48-hour waiting period preventing players from joining another guild after leaving their previous one works—the waiting period will no longer start when leaving a guild, but when joining one. This means that if a player joins a guild and leaves it shortly afterwards, they will have to wait a set amount of time before joining another guild. However, if they leave it after at least two days, they will be able to join another guild immediately. The waiting period does not apply if the player creates a new guild.
- Improved the guild contributions system and added automatic calculation. The Chancellor or Strategist will be able to set contributions with a great degree of flexibility—either a shared contribution for everyone or individual amounts for each member. Players will be able to choose a convenient calculation period (a specific day of the week, month, or year). Total contributions will consist of:
- Basic contribution—a fixed mandatory payment that a guild member should contribute regardless of their activity. They are calculated at the selected time.
- Usage fee—a fee for each use of options provided by guild buildings (Temple effects, teleportation charges, food). It is calculated in real time.
The amount of contributions and fees can be changed at any time. A new basic contribution rate will apply to the current period starting from the last calculation, while a new usage fee will apply from the moment it is introduced.
Notes:
- The system only calculates contributions. It does not take funds from the player’s account.
- The contributions summary displays the balance of calculated contributions and player donations from the moment a contribution setting was first assigned to that player. This means that any payments made before that moment (including those made before the update) will not be included in the summary. Previous payments can still be viewed using the calendar in the contributions tab. Therefore, you can either wait with setting contributions until a player’s previous balance has been settled, or adjust the new contributions amount based on any previous outstanding payments or overpayments.
- Added an overview of the amount of used effects, charges, and food.
- Changes and adjustments to the appearance of guild rooms. The Temple and Teleportation Tower saw the biggest improvements—all Temple effects and the teleportation map will be available after entering the appropriate section located in the center. Players will also be able to add six favorite effects and six favorite locations, which will then be available directly from the main room view.
- Added changes to the appearance of the Deposit as the Keep is upgraded.
- Significantly increased the number of teleport destinations available from the Teleportation Tower map.
- Changes to regions and mob aggression in areas near teleport locations (mainly increasing the availability of green areas near instances).
- Due to adding a teleport location to Lower Kemenak, the requirement to complete the “Stone Soul” quest to enter Kemenak has been removed. The quest (or handing the Thunder Amulets to Sulog) will grant access to The Rockburst, the First’s House, and the Temple of Stone.
- Increased the maximum number of players in a guild with the highest Keep level from 24 to 26.
- Added the ability to dispel a selected Temple effect alongside the option to dispel all effects at once, and removed the Temple charge cost for dispelling effects.
- Blocked the ability to take the same Temple effect if its remaining duration is 95% or more of its full duration.
- Changed how the Teleportation Tower works—the system will now function similarly to the Temple, meaning each teleport from the guild will consume a teleportation charge (a scroll will no longer be consumed). Teleporting to the guild remains unchanged and will still require a Teleportation Scroll.
- Added the ability to recharge the Temple, Teleportation Tower, and add pet food directly from the guild UI tab. Players will be able to recharge them individually or enable automatic recharging when charges or food run out. Each recharge performed through the UI will cost 3 platinum from the guild treasury. Recharging from inside the guild room will not have this fee.
- Added notifications when charges or food are running low or have been depleted.
- Changed the way the Temple and Teleportation Tower are recharged—removed the option to recharge with platinum and replaced it with a platinum fee for resetting the cooldown before the next recharge, adjusted charge costs and amounts, and added the ability to reduce the gold recharge cost in exchange for resources.
- Changed the price of Teleportation Scrolls—in guilds they will cost 100,000 gold or 1 platinum for 50 scrolls, while in the Premium Shop they will cost 1 platinum for 40 scrolls.
- Changed the land tax amount depending on Keep level.
- Changed guild upgrade costs—gold costs remain unchanged, the additional platinum cost will be reduced and its benefits changed, while total resource costs will remain similar to previous values (mainly the distribution of required resources has been changed).
- Reduced the amount of resources produced by guild buildings.
- Changes to resource tasks:
- Blocked the ability to take the same resource task with more than one person.
- Removed the following tasks: “Archrogues” from the Kemenak Secretary and “Ice Crystal” from Master Arcanegrin.
- Changed and standardized the levels at which resource tasks become available, as well as the amount of resources awarded: level 25 = 50 resources, level 50 = 200 resources, level 100 = 350 resources.
- “Iron Price” task (level 25)—made the enemy group easier to defeat and left it as the only available option.
- “Traitorous Workman” task (level 25)—made the enemy group easier to defeat.
- “Old Wine” task (level 25)—changed the region where the chest appears to a more accessible location.
- New “Fern Leaf” task (level 25) available from Turvill—the reward will be crystals.
- “Delicious Yoko” task (level 50)—renamed to “Orc Delicacy”, replacing the requirement to deliver Yoko’s Bone with defeating two enemy groups.
- “Kholds and Poachers” task (level 50)—made the poacher group easier and moved its location to the Khold Mountains Hideout.
- “Stone Kitten” order (level 50)—renamed to “Securing the Trail”, replacing the requirement to deliver a young sabeltig with defeating mountain orcs. As a reward, players will be able to choose between stones or crystals.
- “Ignifex Culling” order (level 100)—replaced standard rewards with a selected resource.
- Reduced the weight of some items exchanged for resources: Sea Crystal, Granite, and Fallen Ones Junk.
- Bandit Plans—added the ability to turn them in without an active task to Captain Tarviano in Alaril in exchange for 25 units of a selected resource.
- Yoko Bone—added the ability to turn it in without an active task to Izdirul Althi in exchange for 100 planks.
- Young Sabeltig—added the ability to turn it in without an active task to Dilleg in exchange for 100 stones.
- Morkvirr—changed the drop from 60 stone to 50 iron and 50 crystals, and increased its spawn area in the Aragonite Cave.
- Morkvirr and Female Sabeltig—increased their respawn time to match Yoko’s.
- Added a production stop for guild buildings if the guild has at least 100,000 of a given resource. Manual contributions will still be possible.
- Due to the changes to resources, which make them useful even for already developed guilds, all guilds with accumulated excess resources will have their amount reduced to 200,000. Any excess above this amount will be converted into resources the guild does not currently possess, up to a maximum of 200,000. This does not apply to food.
- Reduced the number of guild ranks to six and changed their permissions (each higher rank retains the permissions of lower ranks and receives additional ones):
- Aspirant—can purchase teleportation scrolls and use guild chat.
- Soldier—can freely use the Temple and Teleportation Tower, and add food for pets. This is the default rank assigned after joining a guild.
- Captain—can recharge the Temple and Teleportation Tower.
- General—can change the ranks of lower-ranking guild members, set access to stalls in the Menagerie (the new name for the former Cages), send back the pets back of other guild members, edit the board, accept players into the guild, and manage recruitment.
- Strategist—can remove players from the guild, set contributions, view used effects, charges, and food, enable automatic building recharging, and upgrade the guild.
- Chancellor—can change the guild name and move the guild plot.
Existing guild ranks on the servers will be converted to the new system according to the following scheme: Chancellor → Chancellor, Strategist → Strategist, all other ranks → Soldier.
- Introduced a system allowing the Chancellor rank to be taken over when the Chancellor has been inactive for a long time, as well as a system for completely disbanding a guild if nobody is active. The rules are as follows:
- If at least one other guild member is active (has logged in within the last month), then after 9 months of complete Chancellor inactivity, the Chancellor will receive an email informing them that the process of changing the Chancellor has begun. From that moment, they have one month to log into the game if they want to keep their position—the process will then be completely cancelled.
- If the Chancellor does not log in, their position will be taken over by the person with the highest rank and the longest guild membership, provided they have logged in within the last month.
- If nobody in the guild is active, then after 11 months everyone will receive an email informing them that the guild deletion process has begun. From that moment, they have one month to log into the game. If at least one person logs in, the process will be completely cancelled. If the Chancellor is not among those people, the Chancellor replacement process will begin.
- Added online status visibility in the guild Members tab.
- Removed the guild forum.
- Changed the News UI—moved resource information to the Contributions tab, renamed News to Board, and merged two information sections into one.
- Added a dialogue option to Escorts allowing players to travel directly to their guild.
- Added the ability to leave the main guild room directly onto the map, bypassing plots, with information about the destination location.
- Improved and expanded the amount of information recorded in Guild History.
- Changed how Guild Might is calculated—it will now be the sum of the maximum Might values of its members.
- UI, graphical, and text changes related to guild updates.
Other Changes and Fixes:
- Added a legend to the world map on PC with the ability to enable and disable selected icons.
- Added a separate Amber fishing spot on the Wild Island and removed Ambers from the pool of items required to enter Ivravul and Draugul.
- Changed the White Druid type from regular enemy to elite.
- Simplified the recipes for the turquoise inhibitor, quartz inhibitor, and herbal brew, and reduced the number of ingredients required for Billy’s moonshine.
