While we delivered some of the promised content planned for Q3 and Q4, not everything was completed on time.
We aimed to include as much content as possible in a single, big update by the end of 2024, which is why we chose to stay quiet and focus on the work.
Instead of writing this message, we had hoped to share the happy news of its release with you. However, as the deadline approached, it became clear that the planned content wasn’t ready yet.
Rushing the upcoming update would mean compromising the quality you deserve, so we’ve made the tough call to move the release to January 14, 2025.
We know this isn’t the news you hoped for, and we take full responsibility for the delay.
Unfortunately, game development can be tricky. Due to the complex nature of all the in-game systems combined, we sometimes have to delay releases. When that happens, we always make decisions with a heavy heart.
It’s a choice between taking the extra time to get it right or delivering something on time that might not meet the standards we strive for -and we believe you deserve our very best.
That said, we’re incredibly grateful to have a community that cares about the game and patiently waits for updates. It’s your dedication that makes what we do so worthwhile and meaningful. Knowing that you’re as passionate about Broken Ranks as we are drives us to keep pushing forward.
Starting early 2025, we’ll share an updated roadmap to give you a clearer picture of what’s coming next.
Now, what can you expect in the upcoming update? Here’s what we’re working on:
- A new fiery region
- A new boss instance (Hvar)
- New mobs, including champions and elites,
- A region-specific quest, a daily quest, and a dynamic event,
- A two-layer world map, allowing you to switch to a dedicated Thalia map.
To show our appreciation for your patience, all players will receive 5 days of Premium Account starting on 20 December at 1:00 PM CET.
It’s a small gesture, but we hope it makes the wait a little easier.
We’re committed to making Broken Ranks the best it can be and this update is no exception.
