Hello, Taernians!
This update focuses primarily on rebalancing defensive Skills across various classes. We kept you informed about the changes as work progressed, and you also had the opportunity to test them on the PTR. Your feedback proved very helpful in determining the final shape of the changes. Thank you for your involvement!
The second major topic of this update is slowing down the surge of inflation visible across the servers, which we also informed you about here. For this reason, we are introducing several changes that will increase the amount of gold leaving the economy—for example, we are removing the possibility of avoiding the death penalty in gold, increasing the Marketplace tax, and the price of Emperors. We know these changes aren’t pleasant, but we expect them to benefit the game in the long run.
On top of that, there are several other changes and bug fixes waiting for you. Read on to see them all.
Class Balance:
-
Druid:
-
Healing – reduced mana cost and duration of the negative Healing Reduction effect to one round, and increased Healing power.
The level of Healing used by mobs has been adjusted so that their Healing power remains close to the values from before the changes.
-
Group Healing – reduced Healing power.

The level of Group Healing used by mobs has been adjusted so that their Healing power remains close to the values from before the changes. -
Natural Resistance – increased physical resistance bonuses, added magical resistances and a bonus to melee defense chance. However, this boost to defense will come at the cost of reduced damage dealt by the Druid.

The level of Natural Resistance used by mobs has been reduced, and if a given mob used Druid Skills, the damage of Swarm and Bash have been increased. For some mobs (Mountain Cat, Flies, Aquasol, Old Grandfather Winter), Natural Resistance has been replaced with Ice Shield.
-
Fire Mage:
-
Fire Shield – replaced the physical resistance bonus with a reduction to incoming melee damage and reduced the charge number of damage reflections. Both the damage reduction and the number of charges will increase with the Fire Mage’s Power.

The way Fire Shield works for mobs remains unchanged—they have received a copy of the previous version of the Skill. -
Meteorite – increased damage and mana cost.

The level of Meteorite used by mobs has been adjusted so that its power remains close to the values from before the changes.
-
Voodoo:
-
Face of Death – the Skill will apply two effects: the existing Depression effect and Face of Death, which can kill the opponent. Face of Death will no longer kill immediately upon being cast; instead, the death check will occur at the end of the round. Each subsequent application of the effect will increase the chance to kill, while this chance will decrease by 20% after each round.

The level of Face of Death and the value of mobs’ Face of Death resistance modifier have been adjusted to account for the Skill’s new mechanics. -
Shadow Aura – increased accuracy and the value by which the opponent’s chance to hit is lowered, while reducing the value by which the opponent’s defense is lowered.

The level of Shadow Aura used by mobs remains unchanged.
-
Archer:
-
Survival Instinct – reduced the values responsible for converting Stamina into the barrier and for recharging it on hit.

-
Hail of Arrows – increased damage.

The level of Hail of Arrows used by mobs has been adjusted so that its power remains close to the values from before the changes.
-
Sheed:
-
Evasion – reduced effectiveness and adjusted the values of increased Stamina consumption.

The level of Evasion used by mobs remains unchanged.
-
Barbarian:
-
Amok – the effect can now be applied to an ally and provides a chance to evade a mental attack, with the chance increasing based on the Barbarian’s Strength.

The way Amok works for mobs remains unchanged—they have received a copy of the previous version of the Skill.
Other Changes:
-
New skins inspired by the Polish Hussars – two outfit sets (Hetman Wargear and Crownguard Wargear) as well as skins for every weapon type. The skins will be available for purchase in the Premium Shop for two weeks from the date of the update.
-
Added Spanish as a supported language on the multilingual servers (Wyvern, Thalia, Omnar).
-
Adjusted the resistances of enemies in the Main Nave of the Volkhard instance to improve the balance of damage dealt by the Barbarian and Fire Mage.
-
Increased the Marketplace sales tax from 1.5% to 3% with Premium Marketplace and from 3% to 5% without Premium Marketplace.
-
Increased the maximum number of items that can be ordered through a buy offer from 10,000 to 25,000.
-
Increased the price of Emperors in gold from 4,000 to 5,000 each and reduced their price in platinum from 0.2 to 0.12 each. As a result of this change, all Emperors present on the servers at the time of the update will be removed, and players will receive a refund in gold at the previous exchange rate directly to their inventory or deposit.
-
Reduced the purchase and resale prices of pets available for Emperors.

-
Changes to Daily Challenge reward values.

-
Changes to the death penalty at level 140: removed the experience loss penalty, increased gold penalties, and introduced taking gold from the deposit and Marketplace if there is not enough gold in the character’s inventory. Gold penalties will increase with the character’s maximum Power, from approximately +18% for characters below 10k Power to approximately +110% for characters above 20k Power compared to the current values. A character above 20k Power will be able to draw a new card – “a massive amount of additional gold”.
-
Added the negative effect “Price of Death” – if a level 140 character dies without having any gold in their inventory, deposit, or on the Marketplace, they incur a debt to Death in gold. The debt is being repaid automatically using gold earned from battles, but the player can also repay it immediately by visiting the NPC Tanohel at the Monastery Grounds.
-
Sped up the Death Card animations and added an option to enable automatic card drawing.
-
Changed how the Top Levels ranking works – it will be renamed Top Experience and will track the total amount of experience earned. Experience lost by a character, for example due to death, will no longer reduce their ranking result.
-
Removed the -90% experience penalty at level 140. At the same time, experience earned at the maximum level will no longer be tied to character level and will never contribute toward it. It will count only toward the ranking.
-
Added the option to completely disable experience gain with a buff that can be purchased for platinum from the NPC Haine in Trentis. The purchase option is only visible if the character has not reached level 140.
-
Reduced the drop chance of rare gear from Sidraga by approximately 25%. The high drop chance was originally justified by the difficulty of the encounter. The reduction is being introduced because the instance no longer poses a significant challenge and its completion rate is now high.
-
Added a melee hit modifier to the Druid version of the Bolstered offense buff.
-
Added the option to purchase larger quantities of Bottles of Booze, Dviggs, and Reols at once.
-
Added a warning about overwriting a buff to the Weekly Challenge reward popup if the player wants to claim a new buff without having activated the previous one.
-
Reduced the difficulty of some champions and elites found in the Trentis zone so that a player at the intended level can defeat them alone or with a pet.
-
Added a new highlighting method for characters, enemies, and NPCs on the map and in combat.
-
Added sound effects to the cannons in the Commander and Admiral instances.
-
Security fixes.
-
Minor graphical, text, and mechanical fixes.

-
Fixed an issue where mob’s melee attack zone was not displayed in the mob preview window if they only used area-of-effect melee attacks.
-
